by Gabrielle Rygh

Is taking care of the composure and health of your skin a priority? I don't ask if it is the most important thing in your life, but is your skin a part of a skin care regimen? I ask this question because of two factors. Our contemporary society demands we take care of our skin, and skin care is essential for preventing skin conditions.

When I refer to taking care of our skin, I am not talking about the use of expensive cosmetic products or making appointments with the best local dermatologist. Everything previously stated has to do with a preventive technique called exfoliation. We can see this technique as skin maintenance, which should be part of your daily hygiene. It is fundamental to take care of your skin, if not, the consequences will become visible.

Skin care is as ancient as the Egyptians; they are considered the founders of a skin maintenance technique called exfoliation. But our reality is distinct from the past. This explains itself because we are in the 21st century; our standards of living are higher and both beauty and hygiene have become more demanding. That's why skin care maintenance is so important. Our objectives are the same as the Egyptians, but we posses technology and vast sources of information. And besides, we have a skin care market that is investing millions to push for more scientific investigations dealing with skin exfoliation.
