Welcome to our website

In this presentation we feature BIOSKINBALM, a skin healing balm made with a natural immune serum with skin regeneration properties that also performs as a biological antimicrobial, inflammatory-moderator, antioxidant, moisturizer & trigger of scar less healing & skin regeneration.

Benefits of the balm for skin affected by Rosacea

  • Normalizes dilation of capillaries that otherwise cause dark red blotches on the skin
  • Stimulates an orderly release of fibrin which protects the fragile inner walls of the blood vessels and promotes unhindered blood flow
  • Promotes the formation of new healthy capillaries
  • Induces the production of antimicrobial peptides on skin to destroy parasites, microbes, fungi and virus, without creating any bacterial resistance
  • Regulates connective tissue breakdown by inhibiting or regulating enzymes
  • Moderates skin inflammation through the action of antioxidants and by enzymatic dissolution of damaged proteins thereby supporting the immune system
  • Triggers the regeneration of skin cells and the repair of injuries without aberrant scars
  • Safely supports your body’s innate ability to heal itself
  • Intensively moisturizes and naturally hydrates the skin from within by enhancing the ability of your body to produce the water holding molecules in the skin matrix, those that give skin elasticty, strength, resilience and the capacity to withstand pressure and over-stretching

For some of our customers the solution we offer has meant avoiding to have to pare down rhinophyma nose disfiguration, the bulk of the overgrown skin tissues of the nose, by excision with a sharp knife or by carbon dioxide laser burning.

With our skin products you will quickly see an overall reduction of redness and blotchiness, which results in smooth, creamy skin. While the pigmentation problems on the surface of your skin are resolved, deep down your dermis is improved structurally as new collagen is encouraged to form. As a result you’ll also enjoy a smoothly textured skin.

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is mainly an inflammatory condition of the follicles, with a) abnormal innate immune response and b) increases in both degrading epidermal enzymes and production of pro-inflammatory peptides, c) blood vessel disorders, d) skin barrier dysfunction, and e) depletion of antioxidant reserve, f) with no definitive evidence supporting an underlying microbial intervention.

In addition, facial hypersensitivity exists, even though the skin barrier is not altered. Rhinophyma remains poorly explained; the blood vessel's abnormalities induce local production of transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1) capable of creating fibrosis and therefore skin thickening.

Although many and varying triggers of inflammation have been identified there is no sound or clear description of what injuries or insults the immune system is responding to with such a strong inflammatory reaction.

Regulation of Activity of Cathelicidin Peptides: Triggers of Symptoms of Rosacea

Dr. Richard Gallo, chief of dermatology, University of California, San Diego, and colleagues have recently determined that it is not one, but a combination of two abnormal factors, that result in the papules (bumps) and pustules (pimples) of rosacea.

"It's like having lots of gasoline...and a match," said Gallo, principal investigator of the study has been published in the August 5, 2007 online edition of Nature Medicine. In essence, the researchers found that over-production of two interactive inflammatory proteins results in excessive levels of a third protein that causes rosacea symptoms, a three factor unfortunate constelation in people with rosacea.

Gallo and his colleagues first observed in the laboratory that certain anti-microbial peptides -- small proteins the body produces to defend itself from viruses, fungi and bacteria- of the type known as cathelicidins are triggered too easily in rosacea patients and cause redness, an increase in visible blood vessels, bumps or pimples.

"When we then looked at patients with the disease, every one of them had far more peptides than normal." said Gallo.

To learn why these patients have abnormal peptides, the researchers examined the source of these molecules. The precursor form of these peptides, called cathelicidin, is normally known for its function to protect the skin against infection. In other skin diseases, a deficiency of cathelicidin correlates with increased infection. In rosacea patients, researchers found the opposite was true; too much cathelicidin was present in their skin. The level of the protective cathelicidins was 200 percent to 300 percent higher in rosacea patients. They also observed that it was a different form than found in people without the skin disorder.

Patients with rosacea also had greatly elevated levels of enzymes called stratum corneum tryptic enzymes (SCTE). These enzymes turned the precursor into the disease-causing peptide. By injecting mice with the cathelicidin peptides found in rosacea, or adding SCTE, they increased inflammation in the mouse skin, thus proving that these abnormalities can cause the disease.

Too much SCTE and too much cathelicidin leads to the abnormal peptides that cause the symptoms of this disease.

"Antibiotics tend to alleviate the symptoms of rosacea in patients because some of them work to inhibit these enzymes" Gallo said their findings may modify the therapeutic approach to treating rosacea, since bacteria aren't the right target.

While many types of bacteria may trigger the formation of cathelicidins, he said, they appear to be particularly sensitive to the bacterium Helicobacter pylori, which has been linked with rosacea in some studies.

The researchers have also noticed that while the peptide is inactive when it is first made on the skin surface, enzymes in sweat cause it to become active. They concluded that cathelicidins may stimulate the production of bumps and pimples in rosacea, possibly in connection with H. pylori and other bacterial triggers.

Interestingly the GAGs is the snail serum play a role in regulating the activity and expression of endogenous peptides that act as important defense molecules against all types of growing bacteria. This may explain testimonials of customers that have lost or kept down the redness caused by rosacea by using the balm.

Regulation of Blood Vessel Growth in Rosacea

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), a regulator of blood vessel growth that may be associated with sun exposure, is highly expressed in the sebaceous glands of people with rosacea according to Dr. Thiboutot (Fifth Annual Rosacea Research Workshop, 2004). She noted that previous research has found VEGF may be involved in the formation of visible blood vessels in rosacea, and that rosacea patients may therefore be especially sensitive to sunlight.

In an ongoing study, researchers demonstrated that neuropeptides -- substances produced by nerves or other cells in the skin -- and ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation (found in sunlight) appear to induce the expression of VEGF. Dr. Richard Granstein, chairman of dermatology at Cornell University, reported that small amounts of UVB, the type of sunlight that causes sunburn, appear to increase VEGF expression in endothelial cells -- that is, cells that line blood vessels.

In addition, UVB caused an increase in interleukin 8, which plays a role in inflammation. The peptide somatostatin, however, had an inhibiting effect on interleukin and on VEGF production in certain skin cells known as keratinocytes. The relationship to rosacea is still being explored.

Research done in 2003 has noted that in culture of human vascular endothelial cells, snail GAGs at 10 and 100 micro g ml(-1) inhibited VEGF-induced capillary tube formation. These findings suggest that the inhibitory effect of the snail GAGs on the formation of new cappilaries networks from pre-existing blood vessels is due to the inhibition of excessive VEGF-induced vascular tube formation without affecting its production. This may explain reports of rosacea sufferers that have found relief by applying the balm twice a day on the areas affected and others who have used it to prevent further rosacea outbreaks.

A worthwhile description of this skin condition would have already lead us to a good solution

We might speculate that the state scientific knowledge of what is rosacea parallels the complication of attempting to describe the positive results for rosacea victims of the immune serum that land snails produce copiously when stressed or damaged.

The immune cells of the innate immune system of snails appear to be way more complex that the human innate immune system when the stake is healing local injuries. Snails have skin that is really like human skin and produce the serum we collect from them -without causing any sort of damages to the little creatures- to defend their skin from solar radiation, environmental aggressions, accidents ... it even utilizes it to regrow a few of its organs and damaged tissues when bitten by birds.

Thus, as an alternative of attempting to clarify exactly what especially about the intricacies of the soluble proteins, glycomolecules, antimicrobial peptides, enzymes, co-enzymes, powerful antioxidants, and oligoelements in this natural serum conquers rosacea and many other human skin disorders, we will summarize what we already know about the functions and benefits of the immune serum with skin regeneration properties.

Natural Skin Care for Rosacea

What Our Customers Say:

Your product truly delivers what it says it can do. I have never found anything, and I tried A LOT of things as I have rosacea, that could heal my face as well and quickly as your product. I had doubts when I first purchased it, but it has definitely performed, and so beautifully, above and beyond my expectations!! Send me some more! Karen Gensheim. IN, USA.

I have Rosacea, and I used to control it just by using an Alpha Hydroxy wash. The problem is that if I ever go on vacation without the wash or something, and get a flair up, I have a lot of trouble getting it down. Also, I think my rosacea may have gotten worse over time. Anyway, I had cystic acne on my cheeks that had been more or less consistent for months, as well as nasty little nose spots. Once I started using the rosacea cream, it got much better. In fact, I can notice a difference just overnight if the problem is surface irritation and not well below the surface. For instance, I have one cyst now, and it hurts, but if it ever gets to the surface, I am sure the cream will help me. I was pretty skeptical, and my friends make fun of my paying a lot for snail slime, but it seems to work well for me. Tracy Larrabee, California.

I have clear skin for the first time since before I was a teenager. I'm now 41. Hardly any wrinkles at all, everyone asks what my secret is. It works great for the rosacea, keeps the redness down and seems to help the spider veins. This product keeps it's word. I will advise my sister to try it. D. Lewis. AL, USA.

I have been treated for keloids on my chest for over 25 years with no success. I have two keloids that have growned from the size of a pimple to over three and five inches long. In fact they look like large fingers setting on my chest. A second keloid is one inch. I am on my second bottle of your product and very pleased. The one inch keloid has disappeared. The other two no longer itch, and I have peeled away several layers of dead skin. I only wish that I took before and after pictures. The change is very dramatic. Frank McBride. Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

I have been using the balm for less than a month now and my acne scars are dramatically improving. It is also keeping my face clear consistently. I am going to keep using this product for ever. Thank you so much Paul, Tucson AZ.

This product is amazing.... Most of the acne I experience comes from stress. Before using BIOSKINBALM, it would take months before the acne would heal, now it takes less than a week. I also suffer from a rare skin disorder called “granuloma annulare” which is triggered by birth control. BIOSKINBALM is much more effective than any prescription a Doctor had given me to treat the skin disorder. Teri Moore. WI, USA.

I had an upper right pulmonary lobectomy on 9/10/01 ; and, subsequently developed four small (1/2' or less) and one large (4') keloids on the chest wall on the right side of my rib cage and another small (1/2') one on my back. In about a year they became prominent keloids. Being African American and no stranger to keloids I took it in stride (conventional medical wisdom is that nothing can be done). But when they became painful; despite my being a fitness enthusiast and working out every day. Your cream has significantly reduced all of them, especially the larger one. David Starks. New York.

I am halfway through my second jar, and I am very, very happy with the results that I have seen. I have suffered from bad break outs since I was a teen, but in my late twenties (with job stress) it got much worse. I'm 30 now. This resulted in minor to moderate pitted scars. This product had greatly reduced the appearance and has made my skin so smooth and very youthful looking. I feel 100% better about myself and my husband has noticed alot of improvement even from the first week. I must suggest that people continue to use the product even if you think that your not noticing much improvement (don't give up after two weeks). Remember that nothing works overnight, so be patient. I noticed results the next day and each day after that. I love it. Please don't print my name, but please feel free to use my comments. J. Davies. USA.

I know that BIOSKINBALM helps me. The front of my nose is all scar tissue; and BIOSKINBALM has faded the scar to the point that it is just a shadow now. I met a new girl the other night because now I can go out without worry. God Bless your little snails... Adam B. California, USA.

Thought I would let you know that after using BIOSKINBALM for two months the rhinophyma (acne rosacea) on my nose is now impossible to see but I can still feel a bit of it. My nose now looks like it did before I got the first rhinophyma in 1999. What is more my brother reports from New Zealand that after only two weeks his nose, which is much worse than mine, has lost much of its redness and this is only after two weeks use. I have been using the product for two months. The acne scars on my forehead have reduced dramatically and can now be concealed with only the Jane Iredale mineral powder. No longer need the camouflage cream.

Hi, I have suffered from mild Acne Rosacea for 4 years. This is my third order, your cream has made a dramatic difference to my skin! My scaring has toned down and I suffer from less redness and pimples, should I be using any other products from your range? Kind regards,

Shelley from Sydney, Australia.

Research published on the January 2008 issue of the Journal of Skin Pharmacology reports that the secretion of land snails Cryptomphalus or Helix Aspersa possess skin regenerative properties.

The secretion has superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) antioxidant activities as well as other multiple modes of antioxidant action, acting at the level of free radical production and also sequestering free radicals and that such is superior than antioxidant benchmarks used by the industry.

It stimulates fibroblast proliferation and rearrangement of the dinamic structures of cells (actin cytoskeleton).

Additional mechanisms involved in the regenerative effect of the mollusk's secretion include the stimulation of extracellular matrix assembly and the regulation of enzyme activities, which limits the extent of the damage during wounding and scar formation.

Together, these effects provide an array of molecular mechanisms underlying the secretion's induced cellular regeneration and support its use as a regenerative ingredient in acne scar removal products and other skin care products.
